Melanie Williams

Melanie Williams is a historical and modern flutist and calls New York City and Navarre, 佛罗里达州的家中. Education is a large part of Dr. Williams’s mission to bring new audiences to classical music. She enjoys teaching adults and children and is on faculty at The Juilliard School where she teaches courses in music theory in the 预科 and 扩展 Divisions. She is also on faculty at Musart 音乐 in Syosset, Long Island where she teaches flute. 

作为一名艺术家, Williams enjoys performing with early music ensembles throughout the Eastern US including Brooklyn Baroque and Upper Valley Baroque. She appears in solo and faculty recitals hosted by Musart 音乐. A dedicated passion includes making music movies that highlight classical music of all genres. Her film, Aviary premiered at the New York Short Film Festival at Cinema Village in 2022. She has also recently recorded Schubert’s Sonata Arpeggione and Weber’s Trio. Op. 63 on historical, 1830s flutes from Paris and Vienna.
